{"id":49,"date":"2015-03-12T22:52:56","date_gmt":"2015-03-12T22:52:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hendersonveteranscourt.com\/?page_id=49"},"modified":"2022-05-02T13:37:21","modified_gmt":"2022-05-02T20:37:21","slug":"goals","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hendersonveteranscourt.com\/?page_id=49","title":{"rendered":"Goals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The goals of the Veterans Treatment Court are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Identify qualified veterans for enrollment into the Veterans Treatment Court rehabilitation program.\n<ul>\n<li>Objective: To identify qualified veterans who have committed misdemeanor offences in the City of Henderson through the assistance of the Henderson Police Department, the Henderson City Attorney&#8217;s Office and Henderson Public Defenders.<\/li>\n<li>Strategy:\n<ul>\n<li>To receive referrals from each participating office for evaluation of appropriateness in the rehabilitative program.<\/li>\n<li>To receive input from victim, if any, regarding the veteran and the incident assist in making a determination of fitness for participation in the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Enroll qualified veterans for enrollment into the Veterans Treatment Court rehabilitation program.\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Objective: To offer qualified veterans in opportunity to participate in the program.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Strategy: Identify the appropriate participants through evaluation by the Veteran&#8217;s Administration which indicates the veteran is eligible for services and that their conduct was related to their military experiences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and motivate veterans in their performance of rehabilitative programs in accordance with court direction.\n<ul>\n<li>Objective: To provide veterans with support and encouragement.<\/li>\n<li>Strategy:\n<ul>\n<li>Utilize the resources of the Mentor program, the City Attorney&#8217;s Office, the\u00a0Volunteer Veteran Attorneys\u00a0to assist veterans in completing the court directed programs.<\/li>\n<li>To monitor the veteran&#8217;s performance and compliance with the court directions through the participation of Alternative Sentencing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>To improve the quality of life for the veterans, their families and the community.\n<ul>\n<li>Objective: To provide veterans with resources to address their individual treatment needs.<\/li>\n<li>Strategy: To introduce the veteran to society with the skills and knowledge needed to lead a productive and law abiding life style.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The goals of the Veterans Treatment Court are: Identify qualified veterans for enrollment into the Veterans Treatment Court rehabilitation program.
